UNITED STATES:Feb. 22, 2018: A Leesburg veteran surrendered two AR-15s today to the Leesburg Police Department. Here LPD officers removed the guns from the home, two AR-15’s with about 3000 rounds of ammunition, two dozen high capacity magazines and other assault rifle accessories. The guns will be destroyed and not put back into circulation. When asked why they had chosen to surrender the weapons, they said that after seeing videos during the Florida school shooting of students stepping over their teachers and classmatesí bodies as they evacuated was enough. “I’m a former veteran and these guns are fun to shoot, but I don’t want to be part of this anymore. The Clarke County Fair highlights livestock exhibits, homemaking exhibits, carnival rides and plenty of entertainment, such as demolition derbies, bull riding, tractor pulls, lawn mower races and the everpopular pig scrambles at the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds..
“The Bluegrass & Folk Music Pickin’ Fest” in Berryville, Virginia..Watermelon Park Fest combines a beautiful weekend of moonlight Campin’ and Pickin’ on the historic Shenandoah River. Recommencement of the Watermelon Park Fest Bluegrass and Folk Music Concert included acts like The Good Deale Bluegrass Band featuring Mike Auldridge, David Via & Corn Tornado, Furnace Mountain Band featuring David Vandeventer, The Woodshedders, Mando Mafia, The Biscuit Burners, Catoctin Concoction, The Shenandoah Sheiks and Keith Lovett of the Seldom Scene.

UNITED STATES – 12-03-2016: Christmas in Middleburg kicked off today on Dec. 3, 2016. The festivities begin at 8:30 a.m., with Breakfast with Santa at Middleburg Community Charter School then at 11 a.m., the Middleburg Hunt filled streets creating a spectacular sight as approximately 120 horses, riders in hunting attire and dozens of hounds come through the town.
